This 2-hour continuing education course provides therapists with an introduction to the principles and practices of Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy (AAP). Participants will explore the theoretical foundations of AAP. The course will cover practical techniques for incorporating therapy animals into clinical settings, ethical considerations, and guidelines for client-animal interactions. Through interactive discussions and case studies, therapists will gain insights into the unique dynamics of AAP and how to effectively integrate animals into their therapeutic approach.

Lindsay Dozier is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Oregon, currently practicing at SoCal Individual, Family, & Trauma Therapy.
